About Integrated Master of Science - Medicinal and Biological Chemistry (FC1R)
The student will explore the interplay between chemistry and biology in order to develop an understanding of human disease and drug design. The course focuses on core chemistry, with additional modules in physiology and pharmacology. In these modules, students will learn about drug delivery, metabolism and targeting, drug structures and toxicities, and cancer agents.
In the integrated masters degree program, the fourth year includes masters-level modules and a major research project. Students have the opportunity to choose their own project topic from a wide range of areas in chemistry, based on their interests or career aspirations. They will benefit from the active research and latest insights of the university's research groups, as well as access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
Teaching sessions in the modern labs and facilities will provide students with valuable practical experience and a comprehensive understanding of chemistry.
