Program Description
If a student has finished high school but does not meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them to gain entry to an undergraduate degree. Admission to the University of Nottingham can be gained through a pathway course at the University of Nottingham International College. Students will be part of a large international student population at the University of Nottingham. It is a member of the elite Russell Group, and is consistently ranked among the world’s best schools.
The Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre is home to the university’s MRI scanners, and is named after a colleague who won the Nobel Prize for his part in its invention.
The fourth year consists of student-centred learning with synoptic modules. Students will focus study on fewer but more specialised areas and complete a year-long research project. Under the guidance of expert staff students will benefit from a range of learning styles. These include group work, projects, delivering seminars and independent learning.
This challenging but rewarding course will give students a range of transferable skills including problem-solving, project management, teamwork and communication. Students go on to further research at postgraduate level, or to work in industries such as engineering, aerospace, IT, and finance.
