Bachelor of Science - Exercise Science

The Bachelor of Science in exercise science combines basic scientific knowledge in human anatomy and physiology, physics, nutrition, psychology and human behavior. This includes practical skills in exercise, fitness, wellness and clinical areas designed to prepare students to be competitive in the 21st century healthcare workforce. The program addresses the scientific, social, and administrative aspects of working with clients, patients, and other health professionals in recreational, athletics, and clinical settings. In particular, this program aims to provide a broad training for those interested in careers in fitness and recreation, athletic training, clinical rehab programs, nutrition.

Students are required to complete a capstone course. This course provides an opportunity for them to integrate their knowledge and experience into a culminating research project, clinical project, or practical experience. They will demonstrate the connections between concepts and skills encountered in previous health-related coursework to their capstone project and experience.
