About Master of Engineering - Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering
The MEng degree is designed for students who wish to study one or more fields of geomatics engineering at an advanced level, gaining exposure to new geospatial technologies and a variety of application domains such as Remote Sensing and Computer Vision, Spatial Data Sciences, Geodesy and Positioning, and Hydrospatial Engineering. The course-based MEng program consists of 30 credit hours of coursework, selected in consultation with the Director of Graduate Studies.
The degree is intended to be completed in three or four academic terms, depending on the student’s background. Co-op work terms are also encouraged.
The Engineering Co-op Program allows students to develop as professionals and build critical transferrable skills, providing a competitive edge in the job market. Participation in the co-op program enables students to apply the theory and knowledge gained in coursework to a professional work environment. Students are advised to consult with their department and the co-op office to determine the length of co-op they qualify for under current regulations; however, all relevant work experience is considered beneficial and can support employment prospects after graduation.
