Bachelor of Science - Veterinary Science

About Bachelor of Science - Veterinary Science
The bachelor's degree in veterinary science is a four-year, pre-professional program that provides the academic background students need to apply to veterinary school.
The coursework will focus on biological and natural sciences, and includes areas such as organic and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, anatomy and physiology, physics, microbiology, and animal nutrition. Students will also take general requirements including English, fine arts and more to round out their education and provide them with strong communication skills.
To help students succeed in the pre-veterinary program, they will receive close advising from both professional advisors and University of Nevada's veterinary science faculty. Students can also complete internships with veterinary practitioners to gain hands-on experience and help their chances of getting into veterinary school.
