Computer Science is a broad area which includes designing and building hardware and software systems for a wide range of purposes and processing, structuring and managing various kinds of information. Covering all aspects of computer science, including the underlying principles and theory, this programme will ensure that when students graduate they will know what is and isn’t possible with computers and be able to find solutions to the problems students will encounter in their professional life. Students can choose to maintain a mixture of modules throughout their degree or follow a specialist’s pathway in artificial intelligence, algorithms and optimization or data science.  

Liverpool offers options of a year in industry, industry based projects, summer internships and work placements outside study time. Students can also take part in the Microsoft IT Academy Programme and qualify for Microsoft certification in Network and IT Systems Administration, Software Development, or Database Administration.
