3-Term Pathway - International Foundation Programme in Computing, Engineering, Mathematical Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Artificial Intelligence

The International Foundation Programme – Computing, Engineering, Mathematical Sciences enables students to understand a range of areas relating to their further degree study. These include Maths, Data Analysis, Computer Sciences, Programming and Digital Design.

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a level 3 foundation year that is an equivalent qualification to A levels. During students' programme they will develop subject-specific knowledge with a strong focus on improving their academic English language skills in preparation for studying at university.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly successful in solving complex and key problems from self-driving cars and medicine to information retrieval and games. Recent advances exploit machine learning techniques where AI systems extract patterns from vast amounts of examples (big data) using large-scale computing infrastructure, such as the cloud. On the Bachelor of Science (Honours) Artificial Intelligence students will specialise in this rapidly evolving area of computer science.
