Master of Science - Microbiology

This Microbiology course provides research expertise, with a strong molecular focus with leading-edge activities that are synergistic with one another and complementary to the teaching provision. Students will gain professional skills in contemporary microbiology, opening up a future career in academic research or in the healthcare sector.

Based in a research lab, students will undertake research on a project agreed with their research supervisor. On a research-focused Master's course, students will take an interactive approach to learning, rather than attending traditional lectures. Seminars, workshops and lab meetings will enable students to gain an in-depth understanding of the field.
