About Master of Natural Resources - Restoration Ecology and Habitat Management

This program will prepare students for careers anywhere across the globe where a deep understanding of ecological theory and practice is needed to restore and manage working forests and rangelands, conserved wildlands, and wildlife habitats. The REHM curriculum is designed to give students the tools needed to employ conservation principles to a wide variety of restoration challenges, including restoration and remediation of aquatic, terrestrial, and even atmospheric (air quality) environments.

The courses and faculty represent a wide breadth of knowledge and on-the-ground experience in fire, wildlife and fisheries, rangeland, environmental, and forest ecology and policy. The REHM Option of the MNR also challenges students to grow their skills in advanced science interpretation and communication across all classes. Successful restoration and habitat management include working with people and prepare students to lead their fellow professionals and peers to successfully conserve and manage the cherished natural resources.
