Bachelor of Science - Food and Nutrition

A healthy body begins with healthy nutrition. It is important to understand how the foods people eat, and those that they don’t eat, affect health.

In this program, students will study the nutritional needs of the body and apply that knowledge to advise others on healthy eating. Examine human anatomy and physiology, and explore the role of vitamins, minerals, proteins, fats, carbohydrates and microscopic organisms in the body’s biochemical processes. Learn to create nutrition plans, calculate caloric needs, plan healthy menus and advise clients about their diets.
