Digital media has transformed visual storytelling. From online streaming sites — such as Netflix — to social media video marketing, the film and video production industry are in a new era with growing opportunities.
This program prepares students for a career in narrative film, entertainment television, or video production. Courses explore topics ranging from production design and screenplay writing, to film history and media theory. Students will build a strong foundation in videography and storytelling, with hands-on experiences and skills in shooting, editing, writing, directing, and producing.
In the program’s capstone course, students will put their skills into action and create their own film or multimedia project, which could be selected for showcase at the university’s annual Kino Short Film Festival.
