About 2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year - Health and Human Sciences - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - History and Film Studies
This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.
The International Foundation Year in Health and Human Sciences will provide you with the skills and tools necessary to succeed in career fields such as sports science, podiatry, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical science. During your time in the Foundation Year, you will study core subjects, as well as optional subjects intentionally designed for your chosen field of study. These subjects will also prepare you for a career in psychology, behavioural sciences, sociology and criminology. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield.
By studying history and film, you can explore how we represent and construct the story of humankind through the centuries, to the present day.
With history, you'll establish connections between the events, ideas and people that built past and present worlds. A wide range of option modules will also put you in control of shaping your degree to suit the areas that interest you.
In the film element of the course, you’ll look at a variety of cinema – from Hollywood blockbusters through to challenging avant-garde works.
We'll focus on topics such as national cinemas, as well as examining cult films. As part of the wide mix of skills you'll learn, you'll also have the chance to improve your writing and develop abilities in video and audio production.
