About 2-Term Pathway - International Foundation Year in Healthcare - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Children's Nursing
HIC offers University Foundation Studies for candidates who do not meet the direct entry criteria or hold high school qualifications that are not recognised. Upon successful completion of the pathway programme students will progress onto the University of Hertfordshire.
Children's Nursing is a highly skilled, rewarding and caring profession where students can make a real difference to people’s lives. Students will promote health and provide whole-person care in hospitals and the community. However, this pre-registration course will give them the specialist skills needed to help children and young people, as well as educate and support their families. Half the course will be spent at the University, where students will learn the theoretical foundations of nursing. The other half will be spent in a variety of clinical settings, developing their hands-on skills. The integration of theory and practice will ensure they become a skilled, competent, compassionate and committed children’s nurse.
