About Extended International Pathway Program (IPP) - 3-Semester Pathway + Bachelor of Science - Computer and Electronic Engineering Technology
Program Description
Computer and Electronic Engineering Technology (CEET) is a hands-on engineering technology program that focuses on analog and digital circuits, electronics, microprocessors, as well as fundamental computer programming, computer architecture, and network systems.
Students have the opportunity to explore the technical side of engineering through the CEET program. Students expand their skills through and design the program for their goals and interest through various coursework and five technical specialty electives. With this flexibility, students have the choice to advance programming skills or expand knowledge in areas like data acquisition and automated systems. They will also be trained to use industry-standard technology and software, to be well-prepared to start working full time after completing the program.
Students in CEET have access to laboratories which are equipped with industry-standard hardware and software. UHart's facilities include multiple electronics labs, an instrumentation and automated systems lab, a robotics lab, a PCB milling machine, and 3D printing machines.
Graduates of this program take positions as members of the engineering team in applied design, computer hardware and/or software development, programming, product development, manufacturing, or operations. They also work in technical services including computer network services, field engineering, marketing and sales.
International Pathway Program
Students should be advised that this is the Extended 3-Semester Pathway option for this program.
The International Pathway Program (IPP) is open to students who need to strengthen their English skills before studying a degree program in the USA. The IPP offers undergraduate students the additional support needed for their first year of university study. Students’ academic, social and personal success are ensured while in the program as they prepare to continue on to their degree.
Each semester students will take a combination of Hartford academic courses (credited) and English courses (non-credit). Course options are dependent upon the required pathway. Once students have reached the required English level, they can progress to their program at the University of Hartford.
