Bachelor of Arts - Philosophy (GK)

About Bachelor of Arts - Philosophy (GK)
Program Description
Philosophy is a fundamental academic discipline that allows students to pursue questions that have stimulated thinkers in different eras and cultures. How should we live? What do we owe each other? How should we reason and weigh evidence? What is it to be a person? There are classic answers to these questions, but new ones are always being proposed and debated. The Bachelor or Arts in Philosophy program is designed to educate students about philosophical discussions of central questions in ethics, political philosophy, theory of knowledge, metaphysics and philosophy of science, among other areas. This includes learning the history of these subjects as well as understanding current debates.
Studying philosophy develops skills in reasoning and communication; students develop crucial skills of articulation, critical thinking, intellectual independence, and the ability to understand others' viewpoints and assumptions.
