Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council, the BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree explores the fundamentals of electrical and electronic engineering, including electrical circuits, control and instrumentation, electromagnetic waves, and communication networks design.
Students will learn about pioneering approaches in this field and how to apply these to real-world problems. A project in a subject of their choice will help develop their professional skills through modules designed to prepare them for a successful career in engineering.
Learners can gain experience from the University of Greenwich's close industrial ties with companies such as BAe Systems, South Eastern Railways and Ford. They can also benefit from the University's extensive specialist labs, including telecoms, power, control and robotics labs.
The BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering students go to a range of companies and organizations of varying sizes for their sandwich placement, including large multi-national firms, government agencies, the NHS and small to medium sized companies engaged in research, analytical services and manufacturing.
