The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with Placement Year is at the forefront of pioneering advances in medicine. In University of Gloucestershire leading-edge laboratory facilities set in the heart of the University's historic campus students will explore this vibrant field.

Graduates will also have the opportunity to develop their skills and employability through work-based modules, ranging from short internships to year-long placements. For students wishing to become Registered Biomedical Scientists, a placement year in United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited National Health Service hospital laboratories will enable them to complete their Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) Registration Training Portfolio.

Students will finish the course well-prepared to graduate to a career in biomedical research or healthcare services, or to progress to professional training in medicine, dentistry, nursing or teaching.
