About International Year One - Undergraduate Pathway - Psychology (3-Semester Pathway) Transfer to Bachelor of Science (Honors ) - Cognitive Psychology

This program consists of a pathway program offered by INTO at the University of East Anglia followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of East Anglia. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation program provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills students need to progress to degree study at the University of East Anglia in a range of subjects from Accounting and Finance to History of Art.

Students will develop the knowledge and skills for their chosen degree through a specialist pathway. On this British Psychological Society-accredited course studnet will gain a strong grounding in key theories and research methods of cognitive psychology. You’ll study topics such as psychology and risk, psychology of language, brain, mind and machines, social and affective neuroscience, and applied neuropsychology. In your final year, studnet will design and implement your own research project related to cognitive psychology.

Past students have researched areas such as autism, face perception, visual perception and attention, and brain activity in relation to social and non-social stimuli. If interested in a career in mental and physical rehabilitation, neuroscience or clinical psychology, this course is ideal. Because student will  learn to handle large data sets and gain expertise in human/computer interaction, product testing, human factors, and how we process information, . Alternatively the course will provide with a firm base for further postgraduate study in cognitive psychology. Student will be able to choose from a range of psychology programs according to your interests, be they broad or specific, and have the chance to experience topics which may not have come across before. School offer flexibility, with the possibility of switching to a different psychology pathway as degree unfolds.
