Bachelor of Science (with Honours) - Biological Sciences with a Year Abroad

In UEA's biological sciences course, students will benefit from exposure to brilliant academics and cutting-edge research.  This program is part of the Norwich Research Park (NRP), and academics from the hospital and four world-renowned NRP research institutes will teach on the course.  

Flexibility and choice are key features of this biological sciences degree. A defined first year ensures that students have a broad understanding and gives them a platform for further study. In the following years, a wealth of subject choice lets students explore the areas of biology that interest them most.  

This degree will lay the foundations for a career in research, but students will also develop transferable skills that will prepare them for a career outside of biology, such as science communication and data analysis. This degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, confirming that it meets high standards in teaching and skills development. In the latest Graduate Outcomes Survey, 95% of UEA students were in work or further study. 

Complete years one and two successfully and students will spend year three studying at one of UEA's partner universities in North America, Europe or Australasia. The school take the student's academic interests and placement preferences into account when allocating the university that is their best fit, from their chosen short-list.
