This unique and flexible course reflects the global need for skilled language and media professionals. You’ll study your chosen language to degree level, as well as choosing from a range of specialist modules. You’ll explore the theory and technique of translating, and questions of style and register in a range of specialized areas, media and genres. These will include multilingual publications, multilingual websites, packaging, digital and online texts, film subtitles, and theatre translation. You’ll have the chance to gain exposure to how professional translators work through a translation work experience module.
