Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - Modern History with a Placement Year

Are student intrigued by the events since the French Revolution of 1789? Do they wonder why some nations succeeded or failed, how societies coped with empire, or how social justice battles were won? In UEA, BA Modern History with a Placement Year, They will study the forces shaping our world.

Student will learn from internationally-recognized historians about global developments—from the Soviet Union to modern Japan, covering topics like propaganda and landscape history. You’ll also develop and communicate the ideas and interpret historical sources.

Choice is central to the degree. After a solid first year, they will select from various optional modules in the second and fourth years, tailoring their studies to your interests. Typically, student will spend 9-12 months in a placement during the third year, gaining valuable experience and employability skills in the  chosen field.
