Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - Education with a Year Abroad

On UEA’s Education course, students will be taught by leading experts and practitioners from a range of disciplines. Students will have sessions from experts in sociology, psychology, linguistics, philosophy, art, mathematics, media studies, and many other fields. UEA's diverse team will spark students' curiosity and help them explore what education means to them.  

Students will be able to shape the course to explore their own interests across a range of settings. They will explore art and creativity, the human brain, nature and outdoor learning, AI and digital technology, and so much more.  Students will study in another country for their third year at one of UEA's many partner universities across Europe, North America, and Australasia. This year is the highlight of many students’ university experience.  

Situated on a vibrant campus in the heart of Norwich, students will be able to take advantage of the facilities and links to the local area. Gain experience through placements in educational settings, explore the coast and fens of Norfolk, learn from museums and galleries such as the Sainsbury Centre, and hear from local practitioners.  

Students be supported towards a wide range of career pathways by UEA's strong links to teaching training including PGCEs, careers in educational research, work in government and charity sectors, or youth work.
