About Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - Law (Scots and English Dual Qualifying)
If students graduate with this University of Dundee degree, they have a choice of where they can study for their postgraduate professional qualification. This will give students a significant competitive advantage in the marketplace.
This course is fully accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for England and Wales, the Bar Council and the Law Society of Northern Ireland. When students graduate they will have full flexibility in deciding where to complete their legal training.
Along with the studies Dundee encourage students to join one of the Law societies:
- The Dundee University Law Society is one of the biggest and most active societies on campus and helps build a Law network.
- The Law Review is a publication run by students and reviewed by academics to ensure high academic standards. This is an ideal opportunity to gain legal editing and writing experience.
- Dundee's Mooting society is a great place to practice debate. Members have represented Scotland at the International Court of Justice.
- The Telders competition provides an opportunity for law students with an interest in public international law to hone their skills in front of leading experts.
