Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Journalism (with Foundation Year)

Program Description

The combined 4 year programme allows students with lower academic marks, or whose qualifications are not equivalent to British A Levels, to gain the necessary qualifications to proceed to undergraduate study.  After completing the Foundation Year, students will be eligible to progress to a number of University of Chester undergraduate programmes.

The way journalists report the news and consumers then engage with the news is evolving all the time: digital technology is having a huge impact. Mainstream journalism has been responding in fascinating ways and its value and importance is being re-evaluated: it may allow us to break free of the damaging echo chambers shaping our world, and the courses at Chester are designed to help students do exactly that.
