The Advanced Cybersecurity MSc is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity, encompassing all major aspects of its theory and practice. The programme cultivates advanced expertise in the core concepts of the discipline, with an emphasis on mastering state-of-the-art tools and techniques.
Throughout the course of study, students will engage deeply with the theoretical frameworks that underpin cybersecurity, while simultaneously developing practical skills through hands-on experience. In the first year, students receive support from the University in identifying and securing a suitable professional project, alongside completing the taught components of the programme. The second year is dedicated to a client-led project, providing the opportunity to collaborate with industry professionals and build a network of professional contacts.
Students are responsible for securing their own projects, with support and guidance provided by the University. In addition, a preparatory module is included to equip students with the professional skills and knowledge required to successfully undertake the project.
