About Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Bioveterinary Science (with Foundation Year)
Program Description
The combined 4 year programme allows students with lower academic marks, or whose qualifications are not equivalent to British A Levels, to gain the necessary qualifications to proceed to undergraduate study. After completing the Foundation Year, students will be eligible to progress to a number of University of Chester undergraduate programmes. The Bioveterinary Science degree utilises the strengths of the University of Chester in the areas of biology, behaviour and welfare. These strengths offer an opportunity to study animal health not only at the physiological and cellular level, but also at the behavioural level.
This holistic approach to animal health offers anyone studying Bioveterinary Science at Chester an interesting and complete understanding of how a disease will impact an individual animal. The Bioveterinary Science course also aims to examine the wider implications of animal health by looking at how it impacts wildlife ecology, and also how animal health effects the human population.
