With ever increasing advances in information technology, almost every industry has a need for data analysts to leverage collected information and help organizations operate more effectively and efficiently. According to a recent McKinsey & Company big data report, in 2018, the United States alone could face a shortage of 140,000 to 190,000 professionals with proficient analytical skills. The shortage is expected to continue in the near future.
Through its Big Data and Business Analytics undergraduate and graduate programs, the University of Central Missouri is filling that skills gap, by helping students graduate ready to enter the workforce with a meaningful degree. The Big Data and Analytics major at the University of Central Missouri provides focused knowledge and training to students so they can learn how to utilize a company’s data and generate information for strategic decision making.
Big Data Analytics program is a unique STEM classified program focused on technological innovations and challenges in the 21st century. This is the only Big Data and Business Analytics program for a Bachelors degree in the State of Missouri.
