Program Description
Bachelor of Arts in Theatre students at UCM have various performance and technical opportunities from 35-40 productions each year. The 442-seat, state-of-the-art James L. Highlander Theater will offer students diverse experiences on a traditional proscenium stage. The flexible, 100-seat Nickerson Black Box Theater will provide them with more intimate acting and technical challenges like they would experience in television and film. Each summer students will have paid opportunities to company manage, direct, design or act in the touring children’s production. UCM Theatre and Dance invites students to join a diverse body of peers, professional faculty, and participate in a rigorous curriculum that will prepare them for graduate programs or a professional career.
All the faculty in the Department of Theatre and Dance are working professionals who will help students achieve their goals of either progressing toward graduate education or entering the workforce as a professional.
