Bachelor of Arts - English

The University of Central Missouri's BA Program in English offers courses on a wide array of literature from different time periods, nations, and perspectives. UCM English majors study topics ranging from medieval romances to modern dystopias; from Jane Austen’s England to Langston Hughes’ Harlem; from Hamlet to Huckleberry Finn.

Their majors also do intensive work in writing and research that will serve them well in a twenty-first century economy where these skills are much in demand. It is a major rooted in the challenges and pleasures of reading and thinking.
