About Master of Research - Riverine and Estuarine Processes

Riverine and estuarine systems undergo constant change as they interact with the physical environment, climatic conditions, and human factors. The Riverine and Estuarine Processes MRes program is tailored to address the increasing need for a deeper understanding of these systems by governments and engineers worldwide. This demand is driven by the changing climate, growing human population, and the rise in severe floods, erosion, and water scarcity.

Participants in the program will have the opportunity to create their own research path, enhancing their research skills through the exploration of topics such as flood management, fluvial processes and morphology, river habitat health, and interactions between rivers and humans. They will also acquire advanced analytical and methodological tools to better prepare for their future careers.
