Program Description
This course is for students who are passionate about literature and want to apply critical reading and research skills to a diverse range of writing practice. Throughout this course, you will combine a knowledge of literary theory with your own writing, learning how writing can perform and interrogate theory. You will also consider a variety of texts in relation to political, aesthetic and cultural ideas in order to enhance your own work. Trips and research projects offer a highly practical way of understanding the connections between theory and practice.
Our enthusiastic and award-winning tutors will help you to become a motivated thinker and writer with excellent critical and creative writing skills. We also work with local publishers and authors to develop your professional understanding of writing. Specific modules allow you to work within community groups and companies in order to develop your writing and reflect critically on your practice.
