Students earning the Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Cello emphasis take courses at the Fred Fox School of Music, which ranks among the country's foremost institutions of higher education in music. Classes include both one-on-one instruction and collaboration in groups. The University of Arizona has offered instruction in music since the late 1800s. Today, its faculty comprises some of the leading artists and performers in the music world. The school presents more than 300 recitals every year and performing ensembles tour throughout the country. Artists, scholars, and clinicians are invited to campus for workshops, lectures, and masterclasses.
