About Bachelor of Science - AI and Logic and Ontology
In AI, logic enables reasoning, while ontologies provide structured knowledge frameworks for making inferences. Ontologies define concepts and relationships, serving as formal knowledge representations. Logic allows AI to utilize this knowledge for tasks like problem-solving and data interpretation.
In the first year, you'll take classes on AI technology and its societal impact, learning about data statistics, machine learning, biases, and ethical issues. As you progress, you'll study symbolic reasoning, formal logic, epistemology, and apply ontologies with computing methods. The program concludes with an internship and a capstone course addressing a real-world challenge.
Employers prefer graduates who can form logical arguments, think critically, and manage large data volumes in a complex world.
