About Bachelor of Arts - Anthropology
Anthropology is the study of humans, past and present. To understand the full sweep and complexity of cultures across human history, anthropologists draw and build upon knowledge from the social and biological sciences and the humanities and physical sciences. Anthropologists are highly specialized in their research interests yet remain generalists in their observations of the human condition. They advocate for public anthropology committed to bringing knowledge to broad audiences.
The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at the University of Tulsa offers a BA and BS degrees, a minor, and a certificate in museum studies.
Program Learning Outcomes:
- Anthropological comprehension of theories, human cultures, and social groups.
- Anthropological analysis and interpretation of theories, human cultures, and social groups.
