About Master of Arts (Honours) - French and Russian Studies (RR17)
The joint honours programme offers students the opportunity to study two distinct European languages within the global cultural landscape. These languages hold significant influence internationally and are among the top 10 most widely spoken in the world.
Through a comprehensive language curriculum, students will engage in intensive study, including a year abroad, to develop advanced proficiency in both French and Russian, both orally and in writing.
In addition to language courses, students will delve into various aspects of French, Francophone, and Russophone culture spanning from the Middle Ages to the present day. This exploration encompasses literature, cinema, political history, social movements, and philosophical concepts.
Overall, this program provides a professional and academic environment for students to acquire a deep understanding of these languages and their cultural contexts.
