About Master of Arts (Honours) - Classics and English Language (QQ83)
In the Master of Arts Classics and English Language program, students have the opportunity to combine the study of ancient Greek language and literature with a linguistics-based approach to the study of the English language. The study of Greek provides students with access to one of the world's great literatures, allowing them to read foundational texts of the western tradition in their original language, including epic, tragedy, philosophy, and history. This study of Greek literature complements students' studies in linguistics, as they are able to investigate linguistic structures in both a dead and living language. As part of their program, students will complete a final dissertation in either classics or language sciences.
