Bachelor of Science - Health Informatics and Information Management

When St. Scholastica launched the nation’s first bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM) in 1935, the field was known as medical records. As healthcare technology and health informatics have advanced, St. Scholastica has remained a leader — offering the first bachelor’s distance program in 1981 and the first online AHIMA-approved master’s degree in Health Information Management in the field (2001). Today, the college's CAHIIM-accredited Health Informatics and Information Management (HIIM) programs continue to prepare students to lead in a rapidly evolving healthcare industry.
