Inspired by the Catholic Benedictine tradition, St. Scholastica’s Theology and Religious Studies program invites students to explore theology and religion as sources of wisdom and meaning. Students will encounter diverse beliefs and traditions while gaining insights into the most profound questions of human existence. From politics and art to science and war, studying religion opens a gateway to understanding the world.
This curriculum will help students sharpen their critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and communication skills as they deepen their understanding of theological and religious topics. Students will also learn to articulate the role of faith, religion, and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition in shaping meaning across personal and public contexts. Along the way, students will learn to examine complex questions through the lenses of human dignity, social justice and religious values.
