St. Scholastica’s psychology program features courses taught by faculty in every major sub-discipline of psychology. The college places a strong emphasis on breadth and depth in students' education. After being exposed to a wide range of psychology topics, students will work closely with faculty as they discover and develop their own areas of interest.
Through this program, students will develop excellent critical thinking and writing skills essential for psychology professionals. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in unique learning experiences. These may include an elective course on the science of happiness that culminates in a trip to Denmark or conduct their own research project and present it at a regional conference. Alternatively, students can gain hands-on experience through a field internship in a specific area of interest, applying classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.
