Bachelor of Arts - Global Sustainability and Justice Studies - Sustainable Management

The intersection of language, culture, sustainability and justice is central to meeting today’s challenges. In the Global Sustainability and Justice Studies program, students will learn about how these building blocks of society are impacted by people, places and power. Through this program, students will gain greater insight into the obstacles that are created as these interests collide, as well as how to address cultural, social and environmental challenges on both local and global levels.

The coursework offers an interdisciplinary and holistic education in examining processes and systems through the lens of social justice. Each student will choose one of four concentrations beyond the core curriculum of the program.

Each concentration will allow students to focus more deeply on their area of interest and work with a vibrant, interactive and intercultural community. Through this program, students will gain the knowledge they need to investigate the roles and responsibilities of both the individual and the community in these social processes. Students will also begin to understand the challenges that face society and acquire the skills to develop and communicate solutions. Help transform the world with the ultimate aim of promoting peaceful and just communities through deeper cultural understanding.
