TAFE NSW's Certificate IV in Interior Decoration gives students the skills and knowledge they need to work as an assistant interior decorator or interior designer for retail, consulting and building businesses.
In this course, students will explore the world of interior decoration and learn a broad range of specialized and technical decorating skills. They will also develop their capacity for planning, designing and arranging space, interior styling, specifying finishes and furnishings, colour selection, and purchasing.
When studying with TAFE NSW students learn by doing, and gain the practical real-world skills the interior design and decoration industry is looking for.

In this exciting course, students will learn how to establish, negotiate and refine a design brief, design lighting for residential interiors, produce digital models and documentation for projects and design colour schemes for interior and exterior spaces. Students will also learn to evaluate site structures and services, and apply creative design methods with supporting product documentation.
