TAFE NSW's Diploma of Music (Business) is for people who want to work in the music industry in a range of business roles such as a music/artist manager, music promoter, publisher, merchandiser or licensing manager. Learn to develop and promote artists, get songs on TV and film, and network with industry experts.
Students can apply specialized, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate their own work and/or that of a team. They will learn how to establish a music industry career, develop a small business, manage and exploit copyright arrangements, follow health and safety procedures and exercise music knowledge and artistic judgement.
Develop specialist skills related to the music business such as artist, event or venue management, financial, licensing, marketing, promotions or publishing management. Students can also employ critical thinking and writing skills, and use ICT and digital media tools.
