The value of international relations in a global society is emphasized through the three-year Bachelor of Arts International Relations degree offered by the university. This program delves into various aspects such as globalization, global institutions, development, human rights, international and regional politics, peace and conflict, political economy, security studies, and strategic studies. Students will gain insight into how power, institutions, and laws impact everyday life.

Located on the picturesque Singleton Park campus overlooking Swansea Bay, students will have the opportunity to study British Parliamentary Studies modules, taught by specialist academic staff and members of parliament. They will also visit the House of Commons in London to enhance their understanding of world politics.

The program aims to help students look beyond headlines and understand key players in world politics, exploring solutions to conflicts and ways to achieve cooperation. By studying the patterns of behavior between nations, leaders, and corporations, students will focus on the interactions and inter-relationships between philosophical, political, and economic thought.

The Bachelor of Arts International Relations degree offers a wide range of specialist modules to cater to individual interests and future career goals. Taught by experts with strong national and international connections, students will have the opportunity to undertake an internship module with the National Assembly for Wales in semester one, working closely with an AM.
