Bachelor of Science - Aerospace/Aviation Sciences - Fixed-Wing Emphasis

The Bachelor’s of Aviation science is a four year degree and is the only aviation degree at Southern Utah University. It's the recommended degree for both helicopter and airplane students. Because it is approved for FAA Restricted ATP, this degree is very advantageous for fixed wing students. That means by completing this bachelor’s degree students only need 1000 flight hours (rather than 1500) to take their ATP checkride. This is a typical entry point into an airline pilot job. By completing this bachelor’s students save time and can potentially get an airline job sooner.

Students may complete the Bachelor program in Bachelor of Science - Aerospace/Aviation Sciences - Fixed-Wing Emphasis or may elect to complete the Associate of Applied Science - Aviation - Fixed-Wing Pilot Emphasis.
