About Bachelor of Science - Information Technology and Cybersecurity (Women only)
The students in the Information Technology and Cybersecurity program perfectly blend information technology with computer science, management, and communications, equipping them to solve complex computing problems and communicate the results effectively.
Technology is constantly developing and evolving, presenting new challenges and opportunities. Through hands-on class projects, they learn vital skills such as modern programming languages, database management, and web applications, while also honing their quantitative abilities. The major in Information Technology and Cybersecurity has led to Simmons being designated a Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cybersecurity Education by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security.
As information technologists, these students determine user needs and develop, manage, and support technology-based solutions. They are well-prepared for careers as web developers, web administrators, IT consultants, network supporters, system integrators, system analysts, and application developers.
