Program Description
This college diploma in Visual Merchandising Arts perfect for a creative hands-on learner that loves to collaborate with like-minded individuals. In this dynamic two-year diploma program, students will learn how to develop exciting and memorable installations for big and small brands both online and in-store. Students will also develop a greater understanding of how brands attract consumers, maximize their engagement, and motivate them to buy.

- Collaborate on installations from concept to creation including retail windows, pop-up shops, and interior retail environments
- Use visual storytelling for social, digital, and physical branding and marketing
- Style for fashion, products, and interiors for use in both media and physical retail environments
- Engage in hands-on fabrication of sustainable prop and fixture design
- Learn in dedicated visual merchandising studios
At Sheridan's LEED-certified Hazel McCallion Campus in the heart of Mississauga, students will have access to a dedicated visual merchandising studio and prop room; window display environments; a material resource room; Sheridan's cutting-edge sustainable Material Connexions Library (one of only two in Canada!); a wood shop; fabrication facilities; and a large-format printing centre.
Working in state-of-the-art facilities under the guidance of practicing professors who are well-connected to industry, students will be on their way to a successful professional career in visual merchandising.
Students will also have the opportunity to select from a curated list of leading industry partners to complete their 160 hours of field placement. During this placement students will be able to apply the skills they learnt and build their professional network. Field placement hosts offer experiences in retail merchandising, styling, fabrications, marketing, branding, events and digital marketing.
