The Electronics Engineering Technician diploma program enables students to be job-ready in two years. In the first year, students will learn fundamental skills and concepts in electricity, electronics, digital principles, computers and programming. Students will then apply that knowledge in their second year of studies. As graduates, students will understand design, creation and operation of electronic devices, circuits and systems. After graduation, students can enter the workforce or go directly into the third year of Sheridan's Electronics Engineering Technology program. Graduates will also have completed all academic requirements for professional certification with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT). Many of Sheridan's grads develop their own businesses or work as freelance consultants.
