Program Description
If students are a healthcare professional with strong interpersonal and problem–solving skills and a desire to help others, then Seattle Central's Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Allied Health—Community Health and Education may be right for them. With this degree, they will receive the education and training needed to promote health and prevent disease within communities.
The healthcare industry is growing substantially in the region and nationally, and demand for qualified community health educators is projected to increase 21 percent by 2022 according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics. This bachelor's degree track opens the door for students to work as a Health Educator or Community Health Professional in a variety of settings, including:
