Associate of Arts - Elementary Teacher Education - Transfer

The Elementary Teacher Education program includes courses focused on the subject matter knowledge and competence needed to teach in the classroom.  In pursuing the AA-T in Elementary Teacher Education, students acquire skills through early field work experience in community-based elementary schools.  Students majoring in elementary teacher education develop critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills. As elementary teacher education majors, students have learning opportunities that are relevant to many types of careers working with children and parents including special education, elementary education, and social work.
