Those who want to work with patients affected by heart disease, create X-rays for physicians to determine broken bones, or use an ultrasound to construct an image of vital organs. This course will prepare students to pursue a career as a competent, trained, and highly skilled medical imaging professional.
As a pre-medical imaging major with an emphasis in either echocardiography, radiography, or sonography - coupled with a 21-month internship at Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences - students will develop the knowledge and skills to perform high-demand diagnostic imaging procedures. In collaboration with Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, the pre-medical imaging major focuses on echocardiography, radiography, or sonography.
